All Hallows Eve

“Straddling the line between fall and winter, plenty and paucity, life and death, Halloween is a time of celebration and superstition. It is thought to have originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off roaming ghosts.” (history.com) This table was created with that history in mind. I wanted it to be spooky but classic.

We used a black crinkle velvet linen that has so much lustre and texture. Our other items involved are the 100% linen hemstitch napkins in a variety of festive colours; like eggplant, pumpkin, and oatmeal.

We topped this table with so many fun and delicious items - not hokey Halloween food, but a beautiful moody cheese and charcuterie board, dark fruits and charming desserts to accompany.
